WELCOME!!
HELLO FAMILIES!!
Parents, please read this to your kindergartner:
I want to welcome you all to KINDERGARTEN! This year is going to be full of firsts for you. We will jump right in, learning letter names and sounds. We will perfect writing each of those letters and begin making words on our own. In math, we will focus on numbers 0-10, using toys and cubes to count, games and practice recognizing/writing the numbers.
Most important, you will meet lots of new friends and teachers. You will get to have science, computers, P.E. and music. You will have lunch with the first graders and have something we call recess...this is when you get to play outside! I know, sounds fun right?!?!
Make sure to get a GREAT night sleep and come ready to learn!

PARENTS, here are a few reminders for that first day:
- Please get your child to bed by 8:00pm on school nights. This will help them be well rested for our busy weeks.
- Remember to write your child's name on their backpack, lunchbox and any jackets or sweatshirts. Please DO NOT write their names on any other school supplies, as they become communal.
- Pack your child a healthy lunch and a small afternoon snack.
- Please subscribe to this blog by entering your email. I communicate by posting updates here and through email. I very rarely make home phone calls.
- FINALLY, PLEASE HAVE EXTRA PATIENCE WITH YOUR CHILD. They may not be used to having such a busy day and might be a little tired/cranky when they get home. Feeding them healthy food and getting them to bed early will help lower the chance of these behaviors.
